seems ok.

remove "none" from resources, leave it blank.

give some name in local aliases.

on second tab, Advanced, check the following:
connection security: Require encryption
connect port: 5222
file transfer proxies: proxy.eu.jabber.org
tick "show custom smileys"

leave remaining things unfilled, unticked.

in third tab, proxy
proxy type: Use Global Proxy settings.

That is how my settings go, that are working. You can try them.

Thanks.

There's really not much to it. Set the Protocol to Google Talk, enter

your username (everything before the @), your domain (everything after

the @, often gmail.com), and enter your password. Yes, it will change to

XMPP automatically, that's normal.

Note that if you use two-factor authentication (where Google asks for a

6 digit number from a random number generator) then you need to use an

application-specific password, otherwise use your Google password.

Don't touch any Advanced or Proxy settings.
