The tab "Advanced" has two fields "Auth name" and "Nick password", which can be filled. Appearently this helps with identification. But there is a timing bug. Channels that require registration can not be autojoined because at the time the /join command is sent the identification process is not done yet. As a result join fails. lineageos is such a channel. I remember similar issues with xchat, the workaround was to create a script which keeps sending auth and/or join requests. > The other option is using a buddy pounce (Tools->Buddy Pounces) to > automatically reply to the auth requests. I'm not sure what that means. I found some settings for a contact, its possible to send a message to a contact once it sends something to me. But that part is partly broken. There is a message field. Whatever I enter there is appearently stored somewhere, and processed. When the dialog is opened again that info is not shown. Olaf
