Role is for 6-12+ months. * * *Primary Job Responsibilities:* - Provide leadership and project level management in the planning, evaluation, design, implementation, operations and control of large, complex backup solutions that incorporate new technologies such as de-duplication and archiving - Balance futuristic goals while researching and recommending enhancements to current environment based on new products, services and best practices learned from various sources (vendor demonstrations, trade magazines, internet resources, etc) - Ensure conformance to established system architecture, methods, regulations, standards and practices and participate in their creation - Assist in driving long range planning and assure they are consistent with business objectives for resiliency, disaster tolerance and regulatory compliance - Validate, resolve and improve backup and recovery processes and jobs - Develop and report on metric results to ensure objectives are being met on a consistent basis.
