Job Tittle : SAP APO ( Solutions Architect) Location: Chicago, IL Duration : 10 Months Required: ABAP APO PP SAP ECC CPG Demand Planning Supply Network Planning Desired: Required Qualifications - Experience of multiple APO implementations in CPG companies. - Bachelor’s and 5+ years experience in implementing and configuring SAP APO. - Experience with Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling version 4.1 or higher. - Expert understanding of SAP ECC. - Expert Understanding of APO configuration structure. - Expert understanding of live cache concepts. - Expert understanding of supporting integration that affect the APO application. - Expert understanding of Planning Books, Data Views, APO Macros and Alerts. - Experience with SAP APO ABAP Development. - Experience of Integrating SAP APO with Legacy Execution or Legacy planning Systems will be a plus. Description The Solutions Architect is a senior-level professional and seasoned individual contributor and/or working task leader who applies a comprehensive, in-depth working knowledge of one or more, specified disciplines to the most complex range of assignments. Incumbents work independently, with general guidance from management. Position involves frequent, regular interaction with all levels of client's operations/project management and staff. Has skills and experience related to business management, systems engineering, operations research, and management engineering. Typically has specialization in particular software or business application utilized in an end user environment. Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications. Demonstrated ability to help integrate multiple teams involved in technical, management, pricing and business perspectives resulting in comprehensive solutions. Exercises working supervision over subordinate/project staff supporting applicable program/solution. 6 - 8 years of experience. Job Description: >From the manager: The most critical skill set is Expert level SAP skills in SNP Optimizer, SNP CTM and PPDS. This is a tough skill set to find and we are willing to take our time to find the right person. The APO Data and Solution Architect duties include but are not limited to: requirements gathering, functional setup and configuration, fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, implementation, go-live activities and production support for APO Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning(SNP) and Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling(PPDS). Collaborates in business process transformation activities for the design of the business processes and ensuring that the configured system conforms to the enterprise-wide design approach while meeting the needs of end users. This role will provide subject matter expertise to the PI community of users in Advance Planning and Optimization and also provide project management on the creation and rollout of the PI reference template (PIRT). Travel – 20%-50% Key Responsibilities: Working with the business community - Assist in communication of project accomplishments to gain support and buy-in for the project goals and objectives. - Act as a contact point for clarifying business process issues within SAP APO module. - Act as contact with technology teams to ensure alignment delivery of all PIRT and market specific integrated requirements in support of the APO projects. Team Management: - Participate as core team member of PI COE’s Supply Chain Team and represent as subject matter expert for APO (DP, SNP & PP/DS) and other Modules of SCM. - Monitor and manage progress to meet project milestones within APO area. - Ensure successful configuration and testing of the SAP processes for APO implementation life cycle. Planning, Execution, and Monitoring: - Assist in preparing detailed project plans for the APO. - Track and report project status on a regular basis including identifying, categorizing and escalating project issues that need management attention. - Participate in reviews and stage-gates with senior management as they relate to APO processes. Job Qualifications - Competencies: - Ability to design APO considering best practices in mind with experience gained in other APO implementations. - Ability to guide the team and discuss pros and cons of APO data and configuration options, functionally and technically. - Expert level with CIF (APO Certified Interfaces). - Expert level with APO configuration and master data. - Preferred - Knowledge of both beverage and food industries supply chain operation strategies. - Deep Functional experience in overall Integrated Supply Chain Planning Solutions. - Deep knowledge of the integration points between the Supply Chain process areas and other functional areas.
