POSITION AND INTERVIEWS ARE IMMEDIATE. *

·         Develop and implement test plans to validate Data, Video, Voice,
Metro Ethernet, and Cellular Backhaul services within the CRAN

·         Develop network configurations to support certifications and new
CRAN designs

·         Execute existing test plans

·         Interface with Network Engineering to maintain the integrity of
the test bed area

·         Interface with Development teams to test and certify
configurations, hardware, and new features prior to deployment to the CRAN
and Converged Commercial Network

·         Provide technical Tier 5 support for network problems and
simulation of network issues

·         Work to ensure that all systems and bug fixes are complete in new
OS releases

·         Work with vendors on new product releases

·         Maintain consistent records and documentation of all tests and
certifications

·         Assume accountability for test accuracy

·         Keep the appropriate people informed and aware of the status and
progress of work activities and business issues that affect the department

*Must have:*

·                   3 to 6 yrs of direct experience in the design, testing,
and implementation of IP *router *based high-speed technology in an ISP or
equivalent environment.

·                   *Extensive experience with IP routing and related
technologies* required (TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, IPv6, CIDR, UDP,
TFTP, DHCP, NAT/PAT,DNS, DOCSIS).

·                   Specific knowledge of *Cisco routers*, especially the
7600, 6500, 3500-series

·                   Specific knowledge of *Juniper routers*, especially the
T1600 and MX series

·                   *Understanding of *scripting and coding languages and
software development practices (Agile, OOP,Python, Tcl, Bash, Perl)

·                   Solid understanding of Windows 7 and other software
including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

·         *Candidates need real hands on experience building networks. This
includes building a lab network on their own or with little help.  *

·         *This role will set up and tear down test beds and the candidate
needs to know how to configure a router or switch from scratch.  *

·         *It is helpful to come from support type roles where they
troubleshot already built systems but they need more than just that
experience.  *

·         *If the candidate is selected for an in-person interview they
will need to be prepared to provide examples of when they have built a test
environment in the past.  *

·         *Need to be able to ramp them up quickly and hit the ground
running.  *

·                   Experience with multicast (PIM, IGMP) a plus

·                   Broad knowledge of CMTS’s a plus

·                   *Experience with Metro Ethernet and MPLS services and
knowledge of MEF (metro Ethernet Forum) standards*

·                   *Experience with test sets such as Ixia, Spirent, and
Agilent)*
