Local candidates are HIGHLY PREFERRED* *Job Title**: Quality Engineer* *Job Location:** San Francisco, CA* *Job Type:** 5-6 months* This Quality Engineer will participate in the design, development, documentation, analysis, and testing of clients’s Web-based and telephony applications. He/she is expected to be able to execute integrated end to end test cases using his/hers testing and software engineering skills to validate integrated and standalone applications while working semi-independently with limited supervision. The Quality Engineer will be expected to lead and drive the testing efforts, and closely interact with the project team to ensure deliverables adhere to the quality standards that internal or external customers expect. In addition, he/she must be able to clearly document, track and monitor the testing results and triage defects with development teams to ensure timely resolution. *Assignment details include:* - Test web based applications. - Test telco software and applications, including telephony call control components like SIP, RTP, and Freeswitch. - Test Web API and validate web service endpoints (e.g., JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.). - Create test plans and test scripts for upcoming releases, and maintaining current automation test scripts. - Work closely with developers, and quality teams to formulate, review, develop, and execute automated test scripts, including running automation scripts for new functionality and regression testing. - Assist in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting methods are effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated. - Work closely with Engineering and Product Managers to understand the Product Architecture and identifying, designing, or enhancing existing test frameworks and quality test suites. - Write and execute unit, integration, and regression tests from end to end test plan.
