what dave says almost incidentally, that speakers that sound very good in mono or stereo can actually sound more than acceptable in an ambisonic rig, needs to be emphasized. I have been listening to eight home built speakers using four-inch plastic bodied full range drivers. I have my kef minilines (any body remember the hfnrr article?)for stereo listening, but my original plan to build myself eight minilines or equivalents seems no longer important. umashankar
