I wonder if people on the list have
other references or links on ambisonics applied in theatrical
productions, either traditional theatre or theatrical installation?

In the Ancient Days (1990's), Jussi Lappalainen used Ambisonics in
the Oulu City Theatre in Finland. He had a Cepiar Ambi 8 decoder and
an Audio Dimensions four channel joystick panner. The acoustic shape
of the theatre hall is oval and it caused a lot of misleading directional
cues to different parts of the audience. However, "background" type
sounds did work well.

Mark Decker from BBC Pebble Mill in Birmingham, UK, used UHJ in
almost all of the radio drama, music and other programmes that he
recorded. That was hundreds of programs.

Me myself used UHJ in about 25 radio plays in the 1990's. All of that
was in Finnish language.

You can find the lists of the above mentioned radio plays in the Discography:

Look up for "Radio Broadcasts", more than halfway down the page.
