I have a GigaPort AG connected by USB to my MacBook Pro and it works correctly with Chrome Version 33.0.1750.152
I used Audio MIDI Setup (in /Applications/Utilites) and selected "Multichannel/5.1 Surround" for the speaker configuration of the GigaPort device.
