Hi All Sorry that I haven't been reading this thread too carefully and may have missed the point, whether the discussion is about headphone or speaker listening. Sometimes I have a bad habit just to dump posts.
However, here's the LEDR test for loudspeaker listening. It is intended for quick stereo reproduction checking. The LEDR has existed a long time. The page describes what illusions you are supposed to hear if everything is ok.
