My son just bought a game that needs Windows 3.1 or 95 to run. His computer
won't take 98.
How can he get and install Windows 3.1 or 95 when the dealers don't sell
them any more?
Computer: 486 "Octek" clone, approx 500 MB hard drive, DOS 6.22, CD ROM
drive, 3 1/2 disk drive, 8 MB RAM. Not internet material at this point.
There is another computer available in the family that could take downloads
for him, a later model that has WIN 98 on it, if we had a web address to
look for it. Or a file could be sent there. Not my e-mail address --
someone else's (I am on Mac).
I don't want to cheat the Windows people, but this thing won't take the
latest version, so we need an older version.
I'm sure someone out there knows how to do this.
