hi all, I've been wanting to try Linux for a while, but I didn't want to dive in
totally
on my main machine, and my old 386 didn't seem to meet the specs i
usually see.
Well, I just came across a (relatively new?) linux distribution
called "Dragon Linux." Besides the cool name, it says it'll run on a
386 with 4 meg of RAM just fine. It is a UMSDOS based distribution,
so for people like me who want to experiment, that sounds good.
Anyhow, I thought some of you SURVPCers would be interested perhaps.
And does anyone have recommendations for the best/favourite
resources, info, software for Linux newbies? I've only used Linux
through telnetting in to a web account to edit a page, use PINE,
lynx, etc.
