Yes - just plug in both.  My old 286 has had dual monitors for at
least the last 8 or 9 years.  CMOS may quibble a bit about which
monitor to use at boot - but only the first time.

That 286 was the perfect development station: with the debugger
single-stepping on the mono, and the VGA displaying graphics, you
can see every problem before it starts.  Besides - if your program
runs decently fast on the 286, it is guaranteed to run well on any-
thing more powerful.

BTW - at boot, the VGA displays the usual card manufacturer's
"VGA BIOS" three-liner message, while the mono screen is running
the POST and autoexec stuff...
