The version of OS/2 I've got with LANMan here (MS-OS/2 1.2 IIRC) comes with two
install disks, neither of which contain DOS - they have OS/2 kernels on them.
The OS2 'kernel' - i.e. bootstrap, kernel and supporting routines - consists
of, IIRC, OS2LDR, OS2SYS, *.BIO (the last being the ABIOS routines that are
present on IBM BIOSes but not in anyone else's.)
However, I guess the disks have a special bootstrap to load OS2, else your
DOS-formatted disks will look for IBMBIO and IBMDOS or whatever.
