There are several comm programs that are decent enough to do what you
want. The one I use is called {commo} and it is shareware, so you can
distribute it to others w/no problem. If they decide to use it, then it's
up to them to register the program. {commo} is nice, since it packs
x,y,z-modem transfers into the executable, and has support for many many
external protocls. It has an extremely powerful macro language, and
supports fossil drivers as well as direct port accessing. And all of this
is packed into an executable that is only 45935 bytes. Fred Brucker does
offer licenses for distribution, contact him to see if he'll give
registrations to all your users. If not, let them register if they use
it. :)
On the other hand though, there are a few free comm programs on
softcon.com in the /comm directory. I've not looked at any of them in
detail, so can't make any suggestions, but they are there if you'd like to
check some out. Suncom is one that comes to mind, and I am sure that
pc-talk is there somewhere too. Hope this helps.
