] intendent for newbie teaching, not man-pages) to use it properly. ;)

I dont know how good it is, or if it is available in Israel, but
there is a book called the Linux Pocketbook, which includes a small
[only 1 CD] distibution of RedHat 5.2, and info on the OS, etc. For
~$AU14.95, and its next on my shopping list. Published by Australian
Personal Computer magazine. On their newest edition, there is the
2.2.1 kernel and a whole CD devoted to Linux - updates etc.

There should also be lots of books in the library; I know theres
at least 30 metres of shelving devoted to technical computing - using
C, C++, Pascal, DOS, UNIX, even a few of the mainframe OS's etc. But
this is in my university. All the Linux books have been borrowed. :(

BTW, Casper, Yolanda has already informed us that she has a backpack
CD ROM drive, and most Linuces don't like that.
