Well, Seeing as How IBM only sold the most feature-laden version of the most
recent OS/2 version 4.0 for about $149, or was it $99?, U.S. dollars, your
friend was definitely either pulling your leg or taking you for something
between a sucker and a stupid fool. You can pick up OS/2 Warp version 3.0
in second-hand stores, salvage stores, and computer shows, still shrink
wrapped for $25 or less. That should give you some idea. I don't IBM ever
sold any version of OS/2 new for more than $179.

I tried OS/2 once, but I didn't inhale.
