There's a problem with that. All the mICQ ports and other ICQ clones
which have been created on the base of mICQ, are not approoved by
Mirabilis. The question is, if Mirabilis will be notified that such
programs exist, wouldnt they do something to block these clients?
Though I am not so sure if they can do something like this.

My DOS-mICQ is being reported as a "basic ICQ version" if someone
with the "real" ICQ try to do an advanced function like chat or
file transfer to me. Perhaps Mirabilis will simply block all the
"basic ICQs" from accessing?.. Ofcourse, if they do that they will
also block their own Java ICQ client, and the Windows 3.11 version.
Oh well, like they'll care anyway. So I want to know if I should
call them or not. What do you say? :)

(BTW lets not forget that mICQ can add users without authorization,
and show their IPs because the defensed are in the ICQ client
itself and not in the server. Mirabilis's reaction to when they see
these "features" wouldnt be the greatest.)
