Ever had Brain? Only infects 360Kb floppies...
Although most modern disk-destroying viruses (virii? I s'pose I'd better go
with the virus checker's viruses) target hard drives (e.g. Disk Ogre (not too
modern, but it hasn't destroyed any of my diskettes, only HDDs)), there are a
few that will destroy floppies - I think there's one that wipes the BPB of any
boot-sector it finds in drive A.
Also, note that a virus might not delete the data from your removable disks,
but it could quite easily infect something on it (boot sector, MBR - my machine
can boot from its Zip drive). If you had a program there it would probably
want to infect that as well.
