Hi All!
I have a bit of a curve ball thrown into this issue about J. Anthony Borras
Basically, I have been watching this conversation for the last few days.
Basically, I don't think it is abandonware... And here's why ;-)
A good friend of mine, Christian Hammond, is the nephew of the (in)famous
Gary Pope, of DesqVIEW/Quaterdeck fame. I asked him to ask his uncle about
J. Anthony Borras, and here is the response:
> I don't remember VMix but I do remember interviewing Tony Borras for a
job.
> It seems to me he was working on a simple multitasker on his own time.
> Maybe he got it working and into users hands. He seemed like a competent
> guy. I don't remember if we offered him the job.
>
> - Gary
So, perhaps the search for J. Anthony Borras should be the search for Tony
Borras? I can ask more information, such as the time frame of when Tony
went to Quarterdeck, etc., if anyone wishes.
I do have a lot of personal interest in seeing this product becoming
re-developed. Provided someone could talk to Mr. Borras about this, does
anyone have any plans of putting together some kind of group to
develop/maintain it?
Sincerely,
Reece Sellin
