Thanks for the hints. As I do have two Simtel CD's I had a fast look and
found three programs to slow down the computer.

None of them seemed to work. Is your "slowdown" another? Could you email it
me? Would be great.
The Error message that hushes over the screen goes to fast to read but is
the information of the system memory manager (EMM386.exe). I tried to freeze


the screen with <Pause> but to no avail. Also a print screen operation was
only partly successful. After approx. 10 trials I know now that it is an
"Invalid Opcode Exception from V86 mode: root"
Further a list of numbers. Have no idea where to start looking for V86!
I am now using DRDdos v 7.3 but also with MSdos 6.22 I had the same
experience.
A program is just a big bug that happened to work.
