Hi
  The problem may not be the CPU, but win95 needing a patch for the drive
cache on the mother board, check and see what the mother board is, I believe
the mother board that Microsoft has a patch for is a "fic" mother board,
you need this patch wheather or not you are using smart drive or not.  The
mother board is sort of a win board, kind of like a win modem.
  Another possible is memory especially whith ileagal oporations,  the
memory shows up as good in device maniger, but it just don't work.
