Hallo !

I just want to tell that Win98 indeed can be used...
Mine is recording video from TV for me, for late-night TV broadcasts.
It proves to work relatively reliable, but it was made possible not in a
single program (i suppose nobody had the idea until now...) but by using
the "CLI" Take Command and its KEYSTACK command to control other windows
programs.
Yes I know that this could be possible under DOS if someone cares to
write software to transfer video from a tuner card to a compressed file,
but it seems even accessing a tuner card is only done from DOS to decode
payTV.
The "Video for Linux" service pops to mind, too, but in the moment Linux
is too heavy stuff for me.

But it is very nice for me. My favorite satire show does begin at 23:00,
and as i have to get up at 5:35 to go to work, i just can't stay up so
long.

By the way, does anybody from you get up so early for work, too? In my
travels over europe it seemed to me that only the germans are so brain-
stupid to do so.

Bye Gunnar
