Well, everyone (in the last 30 years or so) are taughted english in school
from the age of 9 so it's not that swedish people can talk and understand
english - it's the writing part that's hard. Of course major buisnessmen
and officials are diffrent, they can very little english ;)
Seriously I would assuem that you have heard swedish people at leats
singing in english? We are the biggest exporter of music (if we count our
size, otherwise we are "only" third). Ever heard of ABBA?

I never read the subtitles on movies and I guess that have taugth me more
then only reading books since I actually hear the pronounciation - and if
my mails a seems strange just try and read them aloud and they will make
more sense ;)
