As with most large hard drives, the manufacturer's install utility is
almost a requirement here. Info on the program is at:

If you want to skip it, I'll just tell you that you download the file to
a FAT 16 or 32 hard drive. Insert a floppy and run the program. The new
floppy is a boot disk, and you know or can find out the rest. It's a
Maxtor version of the new release of EZ-Drive.
