PTSCACHE is fast, uses little real memory, and is stable even in its write-through mode. I've tried RAMDISK; it works well, but with PTSCACHE going, I, personally, don't have a need for it. I would recommend it to those who need a virtual disk, though. Your mouse driver locks up each of three (XT, Zenith286, Acer Pentium) computers I've tried it in. Command processor and its associated utilities are archaic and uncomfortable to use. COMPDISK ate two of my hard drives- before you ask, I did have PTSCACHE turned off or not installed. Despite the problems, I still find the basic PTS-DOS well worth using and PAYING FOR. But not at $50.00 US for what, by size, mostly doesn't work or is otherwise undesirable. Please consider offering a smaller version of PTS-DOS (perhaps just the PTSDOS and root directories) at a reduced price. You *might* get a number of registrations from Europe, but without having access to your figures, I can tell you this: Your sales of PTS-DOS in the US are, at best, only one third of what they could be. Interest in a small, simple, but capable OS is large here and growing rapidly. Don't miss this opportunity. I'm getting a lot of questions about PTS-DOS in e-mail and chat. My responses have been a little more favorable than the frankness I've given you. With a smaller file size and a reasonable purchase price, I could recommend it whole-hartedly.
