Heh heh, I just got a 286 with 1MB total memory and w 3.10 installed
(on MS-DOS 5) It would run and multitask solitaire and minesweeper
and winfile. :)
Unfortuneatley, some memory has 'disappeared' and only has 640k now.
When I first saw this machine, it had the 1MB, then went down to 896k
(IIRC) for a few boots and now is settled at 640k.
Windows wont start with this memory, so the harddrive was reformmated
and reconfigured as a slave on Mum's 386. Somehow it was using the
fourth partition [/dev/hdb4 in linux].
So now I've got a paperweight sitting on my desk. :) Well, the
monitor and disk drive are in good shape.
