I think the problem is bigger than that.  He mentioned that it is a Memorex
Telex MCA bus machine.  That will make it similar to an IBM PS/2.  I don't
know if ALL PS/2s were this way, but some of them are what is refered to as
an "IML machine".  What an AT based computer stores in CMOS is stored on the
HD in a special partition on the IML machine.  I don't remember what IML
stand for, However.  Do you Chrys?
