I think RM (Research Machines - based in Oxford, England, mainly selling to
the educational market) used MCA in their original Nimbus PC range (based
on the 8086, 186, and 286).  Although some of the older ones had no
motherboard, and cards clipped into a backplane and connected with ribbon
cables.
