Caldera have dropped the project.
They had two reasons:
1)Caldera is now aiming DR-DOS mainly to thin-client and embadded
devices instead of the PC. This is because very few people actually
bought DR-DOS for a desktop use, while a very large precentage
bought it for thin-client/embadded use. In thin-client/embadded use,
utilities such as fdisk and LFN support are less important (as far
as Caldera claims) resulting in the LFN being dropped and fdisk
getting fixed less.
2)The entire format of Windows 9x's LFN is presumed to be "obselete"
because of the new FAT32, which in turn is planned to be replaced
by NT's (or should I say, OS/2?) file system.

(Reason number 2, by the way, is not an official reason, but just a
guess we've made in the DR-DOS mailing list.)
