a) Most likely answer, your e-mail client - Eudora - do not support
the MIME digest format. b) Or, you have not enabled MIME in Eudora.
c) Or finally - the appropriate MIME headers might be missing from
the digest you received. If so, this means either your ISP - or one
of the servers on the path from the listserv to you - striped
out/messed up the MIME headers so the e-mail client will not
recognize the MIME digest as anything but one large message.

My suggestion in any case: Get another e-mail client. For
your win 3.11 system I recommend Pegasus Mail for Windows ver. 2.55.
If you have enough RAM you might want to try the latest 16-bit
version - 3.01d, which is somewhat more bloated than the 2.55. (Eko
might offer a second opinion :)

I use 2.55 my self, runs smoothly on a 386/4 and real fast on a
486/16. Have used both Eudora Lite and Pro, but nothing compares to
Pegasus... it is packed with features, so it will *grow* on you :)
If you need help with the setup feel free to mail me off the list
for suggestions. In any case, if you install a new e-mail client,
keep your current Eudora client (if disk space allows it) until you
have managed to send and receive mail with the new one - in case you
need some help.

Oh, worth mentioning: Pegasus Mail is free. Only if you would like to
order the printed manuals do you have to pay. But you'll get along
fine without them. Help files are good, and there is much help to be
found online, both on the www and on dedicated mailing list and
usenet groups.
