Hi all,
An interesting item in this past week's business section of the local
newspaper revealed talks between AOL and MicroWorkz Computer Corp. MicroWorkz
is a manufacture of $200 PC's which DO NOT use Microsoft Windows OS. The
article speculated that AOL might offer these machines at even lower price or
even FREE to those who signup for their service. In addition to expanding
AOL's subscriber base, the article speculated that these AOL machines could
become an important new rival to computers running Windows. Anybody know what
OS these MicroWorkz machines are using? Sounds interesting.
Regards,
Dale Mentzer
P.S. The article was from the Associated Press and dateline New York.
