My experience tells me that the reason probably was that DJGPP wasn't
stable and/or up to date at the moment. Compiling it under MS C would
probably be a little harder then under a complete GCC port. Besides, the
diffrent size between the two binary files is probably almost because MS C
is one of the worst compilers (the diffrence between Borland C and MS C
that MS compiled files could get 10 times bigger and 10 times slower then
BC (this was in extreme cases of course, 2-3 times the more normal
behaviour)) and not so much because of new features. As long as it works I
guess it's OK.
