Hi... I am running a PC AT (clone) with 8 meg RAM and a 386 40 mhz chip I use PCAnywhere in DOS to access shell acct. I would like to restore a copy of Win3.1 which had a full desktop of icons... including a Turbo C++ compiler and the Diamond Multimedia package for my SoundBlaster audio card I *had* been able to get the entire former desktop only in a default font after exchanging progman.ini, the Program Manager Initialization file after I downloaded the 6 installation disks for Win3.1 or Win3.11(I don't know which) I was able to get a desktop with the four basic icons, including a Main Program Group with no File Manager (: ... I would like to get the full entire desktop in the right font on this machine... does anyone have any suggestions? I had tried editing progman.ini to include the missing program groups with little success: I tried to open applications(like MSWord) and not been able to open them (: all of the missing program groups *are* in their respective DOS Directories and I am using DRVSPACE with my 340 meg HD any assistance will be greatly appreciated! :) thank you in advance, andy [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
