Oh gee.  I was hoping I wouldn't have to try and define it.  They've not
been very clear on it, except to say that if you follow through one
certificate after the other in order, you can become MCSE certified and
work in a wide variety of high end jobs...  Sys Admin, Network designer, etc.

With just MCP (A+ prerequisite) I will be "Microsoft Certified
Professional" best suited to Service tech, support desk and so forth.  I'll
worry about that when I finish, for now I'm busy soaking in the knowledge
like a desert in a rainstorm.
