You know, that's just what I should probably do if all else fails. Ask for
directions... :) Especially since your experience shows that Toshiba is
quite friendly with those of us who like DOS...

The reason I chose a Toshiba notebook, oddly enough, was not because I was
looking for a portable DOS solution, but it was because I wanted a new
machine for a complete installation of Red Hat Linux that wasn't a desktop:
I can't put *three* desktop computers on my desktop! <g> Secondly, I've
read that Toshiba is the Linux-users' preference for portable computer
installations -- and when I saw this Toshiba Satellite 2535 CDS on sale for
$999 (last display model), I couldn't refuse. I'm *very* pleased with it.
And guess what happened? PC DOS 2000 is my default OS. I love it. I just
can't stop working with DOS -- so fast, easy, stable and fun.
