Carl - I've been using the Shiva dialer / TCP/IP stack for 3 or so years now under Win 3.11, and Opera, NS 4.08, NS (AOL) Instant Message, and Eudora Lite ALL do dial-on-demand. Never could get Trumpet to work right, so I just gave up on it and went to Shiva. My only problem so far is I can't get it to enable Van Jacobsen PPP header compression. I'm not at home this weekend - When I get back I'll check out my setup and see what I can figure out for you. Dave P.S.: After you've logged in via IE, can you exit IE without the dialer hanging up? You ought to be able to. If you can, and Opera continues to work OK, you should have no other problems. And the security will come on when you go to a secure site, like something reached via an 'https://...' URL.
