Well, if it looks like there should be a way to enter custom parameters,
there usually is :)  On my last 286, the CMOS setup asked how much
extended/expanded memory was installed.  No clue as to how enter it, just
'Memory size:   0Kb'.  After trying the cursors, PgUp, PgDn, Home, End,
various function keys (trying to find help) and the main humber keys, I
tried the numeric keypad (far right-hand end of the board, with the original
cursors on it).  That worked - as long as Num Lock was on.  Maybe your
machine wants you to fiddle around like this until you find some magical
incantation.
