I would've thought they'd be Audio/Video files.  I've looked at a few PSX
discs and it seems mainly the program .EXEs and lots of data files, usually
.DAT.  If memory serves the intro videos on Porsche Challenge (SCEE Internal
Developer Team) are in .av files.  Not sure how one would go about looking
at them though.
