I have a BellSouth Caller ID box, and its instructions clearly state that the time and date are set when you receive a call. If your modem can receive Caller ID, you might be able to get the time and date from it. What's funny is that, even though I asked for "anonymous call blocking", most of the calls that I get say "Unknown Name -----------". I just don't answer them, if I do they're always telemarketers.
