you can't control language, it's organic and evolves with the people. Our
language grew as a result of that to become what it is today. As much as I
hate "orientate" it's here to stay. We are only able to control the
language we ourselves use, and perhaps that of those children who are under
our control (but not for long). However, do not despair, this grief over
appropriate words has gone on for Centuries. At least we have conventions
and rules for spelling and grammar. These did not really exist till after
the printing press caught on!
