If you mean NetWare, Unix, NT Server and the like, yes that would be fair.

Heh. I'm no big NT nut, but I'd hardly say that it makes life necessarily
"simple" or "easy". It does work well. Arguably, not as well as it should,
nor as well as others, but it does (generally) work.

What of Unix? While I love my Linux, I'm aware that it's not the only
product in this category, nor the best for all purposes.

Hmm. Those are some of my exact reasons for using Linux! After all, I can't
be too preachy about Microsoft, yet still use the very product that created
their intial toehold on nearly every Intel-based PC out there! Put DOS down
at the extreme minimalist level of hardware and it wins out I suppose.
