The sound options say:
Sound Output Mode: SB Digital Stereo (SLOW)
Sound Desired Sample Rate: High (~44kHz) (best)
The "SLOW" means that this setting will slow down the emulation
(only seems to effect "slow computers".).
I think that I will ask the author.
