Yes, I'm familiar with the technique and I've used it myself.  The
information you have posted here will probably be helpful to others.

The disadvantage of having to resort to this technique is that the entire
file will be printed to another file.  What I want to do is to print to
a file only the portion of it that I am currently viewing on screen.  With
DOS this can be accomplished quite effectively while viewing text files by
simply pressing the "PRINT SCREEN" key.  The PRN2FILE program will redirect
printer output to a user-specified file name.
