Hi, Detailboy. I noticed you saying to All:

De> Juno 1.49 is also great because it is the only free email I know of
De> for Win 3.1x which doesn't require a credit card number (more spam list
De> data collection via snail mail) like Freeeweb and Freeiweb or what ever
 De> they're called.

Depending on where you live, it may well not be. Look for a local
hobbyist BBS that provides Internet email access. Like mine, for
example. (But I don't think you're likely to be in the Ann Arbor
Michigan area.) Many of us still provide such access for free -- I do
simply because I like to play with my BBS hardware & software & such.
There are still several thousand BBS systems scattered across the
country and around the world, any of which would probably be glad to see
you stop by. Me included.

It isn't web based, ain't got no pretty pictures, ain't got no 800
number. But if all you want is basic email, plus some stuff you may
never have heard of like Echoes & conferences & such, you sure can't
beat the price. You also get access to a bunch of folks who are
knowledgeable about their hardware & software because they have to be,
and who care about keeping it free, or at least cheaper than you ever
heard of.

It isn't free for me -- but none of my other hobbies are free for me,
either. And I -don't- do advertising. And I'm damned if I'd know what
to do with a credit card number if you gave me one.

Whereabouts are you, anyway? I'll look and see if I can find a board
near you. Or you can email me more directly -- even if you have to use
Juno... <grin>
