aah Ben, maybe this solves a (CShow-) riddle for me:

When CShow converts JPG or GIFs or whatever to PCX, I only get to see
very bad, if not irrecognizeable displays of these latter on the
black/white HERC screen. (But usually, for "real" b/w pixel images,
the HERC screen is excellent.) Is this it ?
