Hi Sam,

I have used a program called PUFF, which stands for
"Pop-Up-File-Facility." I believe that the last version is 3.07 and
is dated 1989. You can find it in the Simtel collection in the
directory "sysutl." The file name is PUFF307.ZIP.

This program is actually a memory-resident directory browser. It
allows you to pop up a file over the app that you are in. I'm not
sure it will allow you to pop up over a graphics app. It also lets
you paste parts, or all of the file into the application that is
currently open. It also gives you option of changing the pop-up key.

It loads in about 30K of memory, depending on how you have it set up.
It can also be loaded in upper memory.
