I have two sollutions first the easy one:

Put PC-DOS, DR-DOS and MS-DOS on bootfloppies (it will probably still be
faster to boot than Windows <VBG>)

And the more complicated (but faster when beeing used) sollution:

Install "lilo" or OS/2s bootmanager (or somehting like them)

But quite frankly I wouldn't put Win95 (or Linux for that matter) on a HD
were I keep any important stuff (read: DOS).
You might also be able to get a small HD somewere which you can use for the
single purpose of booting DOS from (or booting Windows from if that's what
you prefer (I know I do)). Of course this requires that you enter your BIOS
when you want to change OS (I've got one HD for DOS, one for W95 and one
for Linux and the others are removed from the BIOS table when one of the
others are started. (Linux ignores this anyway, but sofar it has only
trashed it's own HD).
