yup. That's where it's at now. both serial ports fail to work with a
serial mouse, so there's something else other than the modem going
on. Guess we'll retitle the thread "serial ports". I'm sick from some bad
food today so I'll leave it for tomorrow to start investigating
further. There IS communication through those ports, at least enough that
the modem recognizes it's being hollered at, but the return isn't getting
there or something.
