Hi John;
  Well, I had some trouble with my 4DOS 6.00. The @MAKEAGE and _DATE
variables weren't working correctly. The fix was to download 4DOS 6.02B

  Quattro Pro 5.0 for DOS didn't like the year 2000, both for displaying
on the status line, and in the Quattro file manager. Changing the date
format to International from Standard in the options fixed this.

  Once January 1, 2000 rolled around, my one system said it was 1940! I
reset the time in the CMOS, and all is well. My other PC said it was
0000, so I reset the time in the CMOS, and it's now okay.

  The one thing I can't get working is my Quicken for DOS, version 2.
Quicken is a cheque book program by Intuit. All of the new entries have
a year of 1940. When I enter 2000 as the year, it says to enter a valid
date. Looks like I'll have to enter everything as 1972 from now on.
